Camden News Staff Involved in March Community Activities

CAMDEN, AR -- Mar. 10-11, 2006 -- Several Camden News staff members were actively involved in the March 10-11 Camden Daffodil Festival and Garden Tours. The event has become one of Arkansas' premier festivals and is known nationwide among daffodil aficionados.

Sue Silliman, general manager; LaDonna Foster, circulation manager, and her husband, Pat; sales associates Robyn Yarbro, Bonny Garrett and Roger Johnson conducted tours of the historical Oakland Cemetery. Sue, and her husband, James Lee, are members of the Historical Society. They joined LaDonna Foster to be part of 15 re-enactors in full costume who portrayed historical figures buried in the Civil War era cemetery.

Jim Edwards, managing editor, is president of the Camden Civitan Club. Edwards worked with the club in manning one of the three serving lines at the Daffodil Festival's annual Steak Cook-off.
